I was just thinking it would be cool for there to be a website where artists and designers could come up with designs for machinery to help people of different and various diseases.

For example, it would be cool if 3d models of different design ideas could be made and tested in a virtual world before creating an actual device.  I think this would be great for designing tools that could aid the human body.  A portable machine that helps breathing through the nose.  Better tools for monitoring diabetes a better pacemaker etc.

Yeah I guess this stuff is already done.  Yet I think it would be cool if more people were inspired to play around with different designs.  Maybe offered an incentive by companies if they come up with something that works effectively and attracts attention.
