I just watched the nova "Ghost In Your Genes" which was fairly interesting. So if there are epigenetic markers that can turn genes on and off, then what is stopping us from using them for intellegence enhancement.
AI has taught me there are two ways to solve any problem. Either you work on the problem, or you work on something that will solve the problem for you. IE, it's no longer neccessary to have the skill beat a grand champion chess player. You only need the skill to beable to build something that can.
So a round about solution to any problem would be enhancing your intellegence to the point where the solution is easier to attain.
Instead of general research I would think this would take priority. I'd like to see some epigenetic studies of exceptionally creative, driven, or intellgent people. I understand these terms are subjective. I also think you understand what I mean without trying to pick apart the terminology.
Find me the epigenetic markers for a denser corpus callosum for example. Or a nice high metabolism.
