Re: Do we really want to reach 100?

    Dagon,

Well said. You seem to be "the eternal optimist" and the time lines that you state go well into the future. But I guess I see your point of view.....to a point. After looking at medical advances in the past 10 years and the ones that are around the corner, I must admit that these are very exciting events. It is just that I am an impatient person and I would like these advances to hurry up before I reach my 80th birthday. It is also true that having been someone who read many articles on betterhumans over the past few years, I really should "know better" than to question, some of the obvious medical discoveries, just in the past 5 years!

I will definitely not become "a medieval serf with a closed and frightened mind".
Actually my mother-in-law is 91 years of age, and she is still"kicking" with the help of medicines, and the folks who believe in her abilities to "hang in there", so to speak. I think I will get back to reading some of the new news articles and look at the videos on the betterhumans site to remind me that there is still "life after 67". Thank G'd for Lipitor!

I really do appreciate your comments and point of view
