    I watched the video and also the newer 30 minute piece that is on google video from the link you posted.

     

    They make the point that superintelligence is not science fiction but based on the work over the last 50 years. Like the atomic research in the 1930's they make the point that future science can and does generate unthought of progress when scientific inquiry continues or expands in an area of research.

     

    What I would like to know is how close we are to porting or creating on standard desktop PC's genetic algorthythm computer processing like a creativity machine. It might only take two pc's connected over ip with intelligent software. One pc generates ideas and the other pc processes, scores and sends reverse feedback to the first pc. How close are we to having a desktop creativity machine?

    How does a desktop creativity machine become agi intelligence?

    Both movies are interesting, the 30 minute video is newer and specifically talks about how the creativity machine is on the cusp of superintelligence.
