Genetically engineered advertising

You thought billboards were bad? New research suggests it's possible to create genetically engineered organisms that display corporate logos and other forms of advertising. Researchers at the University at Buffalo have introduced heat-sensitive genes into a butterfly and then drawn on its wings with a laser; the butterfly remains unharmed, but carries the fluorescent brand. How long until Golden Palace gets hold of this idea?

I remember reading a science fiction novel, MacDonald's *Terminal Cafe*, where dinosaurs are recreated for a theme park. Every one them had their pelts engineered to prominently display the Disney corporate logo.

With any luck, my augmented reality wearable will have software that blanks out all ads, jingles and logos. An ad-blocker for the browsers of the future. With any luck, having such software will not be illegal.

We need visual field of view blocking software of advertisements. The technology behind the portable reader for the blind could be modiified to read street signs, billboards, urls, books as you are reading passages...

Imagine augmented displays in education. Look at a printed page, and a video window pops up with extended information.
