It's hard work to find news stories about obscure subjects that no one else hasn't spotted and blogged a million times already. It's hard to imagine and write a novel rant about a subject that someone hasn't already covered a million times elsewhere on the Web.

The horrors of the Web:

1) Someone has already stated your thoughts on any subject better than you have.

2) Someone almost always beats you to reporting any new story. And they do it better than you do.

In the end, I think blogging really tells us more about the person who blogs than it does about the news of the world. And that's okay. I mean, I have a blog myself and, every day, I can't think of single thing to write in it.
