Always, always, for the disabled. My number one problem with interesting transumanistic and jupiter brain stories. I wonder if these neuroscientists are even aware of transhumanism. Or if they must maintain the facade of "for the disabled"?

One of the first things I want to do is upload knowledge of medical problems that may occur to me. Later on, I'll be able to direct non-sentient robots to keep me running. Still later, I'll be a machine completely and will direct the same non-sentient robots to keep me going. But I hate being powerless to a physician. This is one of many services we will no longer need--perhaps not as obvious as not needing lawyers though!

When posthuman, what do you all want to do? I'm thinking going to interstellar space with enoug fuel and supplies, light years away from others besides a small group, partner, or just myself. Then just scan for evolving life, or just do math. Maybe stumble upon a dark plannet. I'm actually hoping faster than light communication is physically impossible. If I really need to expand my jupiter brain or need fuel, the nearest star should be harvestable. So, just chill.

Fight religion and mysticism

I think these are the two major obstacles toward transhumanism. Together they will hold us back, just because of what they represent. Religion on the conservative side, mysticism on the liberal side, both must be shunned. Just doing this helps the H+ cause.

Rating people

I've taken to always rating people the highest possible. For example, at the end of a class or such. I figure--they're only human (for now). Come singularity--they'll be much better. Why bother giving any ratings when we'll become much more later?

Transhumanist environmental policy?

Subscribing to a realatively close singularity, I find myself taking that into account into my environmental choices. If a singularity is a few decades away, it really doesn't matter if I throw away some extra trash! It's not strictly a rich versus poor thing either--you can pay extra for renewable energy for example in my area (United States). Post singularity--we can probably put things more or less how they were before humans made so many changes.

Anybody have any thoughts on how transhumanism and singulatarianism has affected how they make environmental choices?

I'd like a wireless implant

Verichip has been putting RFIDs in people for awhile. Those are just static 16-byte numbers, though. HP just came out with 4-megabit+ chip however! These are wireless read/write over shorter distances. That would be cool to implant. Anybody have the RFID in them? I'm itching to get some permanent storage in me.
