For
the price of a cup of coffee a day you can join a select group of
visionaries standing shoulder to shoulder as the first vanguard in the
real war on aging

What is the Methuselah Foundation's Mprize?

The Methuselah Mouse Prize (Mprize), is the premiere effort of the
Methuselah Foundation and is being offered to the scientific research
team who develops the longest living Mus musculus, the breed of
mouse most commonly used in scientific research. Developing
interventions which work in mice is a critical precursor to the
development of human antiaging techniques, for once it is demonstrated
that aging in mice can be effectively delayed or reversed, popular
attitudes towards aging as "inevitable" will no longer be possible.
When aging in mice is shown to be "treatable," the funding necessary
for a full-line assault on the aging process will be made available.
This is the true power of the Methuselah Mouse Prize, to demonstrate a
proof of principle, and give hope to the world that decline in function
and age-related disease are no longer guarantees, for us, or for future
generations, if we work together now.

What is SENS?

SENS stands for Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence.
SENS is a detailed plan for curing human aging. SENS is an engineering
project, recognising that aging is a medical condition and that
medicine is a branch of engineering. Aging is a set of progressive
changes in body composition, at the molecular and cellular level, which
are side-effects of essential metabolic processes. Many of these
changes are eventually bad for us—they are an accumulation of damage,
which becomes pathogenic above a certain threshold of abundance. An
ancillary effort of the Methuselah Foundation's Mprize is direct SENS
research.

Who are the 300?

Modeled after the 300 Spartan warriors from the battle of
Thermopylae, the 300 are a special group who, as individuals or
organizations, have pledged to support this research with $1,000 a year
for the next 25 years.

Why contribute to the Betterhumans 300 group seat?

This $25,000 pledge is significant. By acting as a group, we will be
able to contribute meaningfully to important scientific research,
without placing a large financial strain on any one individual member.
Also, Peter Thiel will match 50% of all donations to SENS research up
to 3 million dollars! You can make a difference by making a small
donation. We can make a bigger difference by pooling our efforts. Join
us today and enjoy a longer, healthier life tomorrow,
